Przypomina go jedna ze stron rynku staromiejskiego w Warszawie, kt\u00f3ra imi\u0119 tego polityka i pos\u0142a otrzyma\u0142a w 1915 r., kiedy z Warszawy wysz\u0142y wojska rosyjskie. Imi\u0119 pierwszego prezydenta miasta otrzyma\u0142a po\u0142udniowa pierzeja rynku, wcze\u015bniej zwana Zamkow\u0105 b\u0105d\u017a Czwart\u0105. W tym samym czasie pierzeja wschodnia otrzyma\u0142a za patrona Franciszka Barssa, pierzeja zachodnia Hugona Ko\u0142\u0142\u0105taja, za\u015b zachodnia \u2013 Jana Dekerta. Pochodz\u0105cy z Wielkopolski Ignacy Wyssogota Zakrzewski by\u0142 przedstawicielem zas\u0142u\u017conego rodu, kt\u00f3rego cz\u0142onkowie od pocz\u0105tku XVII stulecia dzier\u017cyli w swych r\u0119kach liczne urz\u0119dy i godno\u015bci. Dobre wykszta\u0142cenie i znajomo\u015b\u0107 j\u0119zyk\u00f3w obcych da\u0142y mu mo\u017cliwo\u015b\u0107 pod\u0105\u017cenia drog\u0105 przodk\u00f3w. Podczas obrad Sejmu Wielkiego Zakrzewski zalicza\u0142 si\u0119 do czynniejszych pos\u0142\u00f3w, a od chwili uchwalenia Ustawy Rz\u0105dowej stawa\u0142 w jej obronie. Okres jego urz\u0119dowania up\u0142yn\u0105\u0142 pod znakiem pracy w trudnych warunkach politycznych i spo\u0142ecznych, naznaczonych konfliktami wewn\u0119trznymi i zewn\u0119trznymi. Si\u0142\u0105 odsuni\u0119ty z piastowanego stanowiska, przeni\u00f3s\u0142 si\u0119 do swojego maj\u0105tku w \u017belechowie, z kt\u00f3rego do Warszawy powr\u00f3ci\u0142 podczas insurekcji, w 1794 r., i walczy\u0142 o odebrane mu stanowisko. Odzyska\u0142 je 17 kwietnia 1794 r. Dwa dni wcze\u015bniej, 15 kwietnia, urodzi\u0142 mu si\u0119 drugi syn, kt\u00f3ry na cze\u015b\u0107 Tadeusza Ko\u015bciuszki otrzyma\u0142 imi\u0119 naczelnika powstania. Po upadku insurekcji ko\u015bciuszkowskiej Zakrzewski zosta\u0142 wywieziony do Petersburga. Po zwolnieniu w 1796 r. osiad\u0142 w swoim maj\u0105tku. Tam zosta\u0142 pochowany, po \u015bmierci w 1802 r.
