3 czerwca 1939 r. otwarto Tor Wy\u015bcig\u00f3w na S\u0142u\u017cewcu. Budowa ca\u0142ego kompleksu wy\u015bcigowego zaliczana jest do najwi\u0119kszych sto\u0142ecznych inwestycji dwudziestolecia mi\u0119dzywojennego. Prace przy niej rozpocz\u0119\u0142y si\u0119 w 1925 r. Efekt by\u0142 wart czekania. To by\u0142 najnowocze\u015bniejszy tor wy\u015bcig\u00f3w konnych w Europie. Projektantem za\u0142o\u017cenia rozlokowanego na 135 ha by\u0142 Zygmunt Plater-Zyberk, z kt\u00f3rym wsp\u00f3\u0142pracowali tacy architekci, jak Juliusz \u017b\u00f3rawski, Janusz Alchimowicz, Tadeusz Gi\u017cycki czy Jan Siwek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Na ca\u0142y kompleks sk\u0142ada\u0142y si\u0119: strefa wy\u015bcigowa, cz\u0119\u015b\u0107 treningowa oraz bardzo ciekawe miasteczko, ze stajniami i mieszkaniami.
