Klasycystyczny gmach Komory Wodnej zosta\u0142 zaprojektowany przez Antonia Corazziego i wzniesiony w latach 1824-1825. W po\u0142o\u017conym przy ulicy Brukowej (dzisiaj K\u0142opotowskiego) budynku pobierano op\u0142aty od os\u00f3b wje\u017cd\u017caj\u0105cych na tymczasowy most \u0142y\u017cwowy rozci\u0105gni\u0119ty mi\u0119dzy ulicami Brukow\u0105 a Bednarsk\u0105 po drugiej stronie Wis\u0142y. Nie jest prawd\u0105, \u017ce analogiczn\u0105 funkcj\u0119 jak Komora Wodna przy Brukowej pe\u0142ni\u0142 budynek o zbli\u017conych formach architektonicznych przy Bednarskiej. Wzniesiony dla <\/a>Teodozji Majewskiej gmach \u0142a\u017ani nigdy nie s\u0142u\u017cy\u0142 jak element obs\u0142ugi mostu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corazzi zaprojektowa\u0142 niewielki obiekt na rzucie prostok\u0105ta, z wy\u017csz\u0105 cz\u0119\u015bci\u0105 \u015brodkow\u0105, uj\u0119t\u0105 po bokach ni\u017cszymi skrzyd\u0142ami. \u015arodkowy ryzalit rozcz\u0142onkowany jest czterema masywnymi filarami, pomi\u0119dzy kt\u00f3rymi rozpi\u0119to arkady wsparte na jo\u0144skich kolumnach. Wie\u0144czy go tr\u00f3jk\u0105tny fronton, w kt\u00f3rego tympanonie umieszczono p\u0142askorze\u017ab\u0119 o tematyce mitologicznej, nawi\u0105zuj\u0105c\u0105 do wody. Tomasz Accardi przedstawi\u0142 tam boga m\u00f3rz Neptuna w rydwanie powo\u017conym przez konie z rybimi ogonami. Nad ka\u017cdym z trzech wej\u015b\u0107 do gmachu umieszczonych w portyku przytwierdzono p\u0142ycin\u0119 z p\u0142askorze\u017ab\u0105.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

W chwili oddania do u\u017cytku sta\u0142ej przeprawy przez Wis\u0142\u0119 w 1884 r. Komora Wodna straci\u0142a na znaczeniu. W kolejnych latach obiekt by\u0142 przekszta\u0142cany i s\u0142u\u017cy\u0142 jako budynek mieszkalny pracownik\u00f3w warszawskich wodoci\u0105g\u00f3w. Do historycznej formy powr\u00f3cono dopiero w latach 70. XX w. Ciekawostk\u0105 zwi\u0105zan\u0105 z obiektem pozostaj\u0105 tablice oznaczaj\u0105ce poziom wody podczas powodzi z lat 1813 i 1844. Komora Wodna Corazziego, chocia\u017c zlokalizowana na uboczu, otoczona przez mieszkaln\u0105 zabudow\u0119, pozostaje jednym z najwa\u017cniejszych \u2013 i najstarszych \u2013 praskich zabytk\u00f3w.
